- ; Register for DOS version 1.00 configuration file.
- ;
- ; This file is only needed by authors who wish to customize Register for DO
- ; for their own purposes. Note! Version 1.00 works only with Kagi!
- ;
- ; DO NOT DISTRIBUTE regdata.cfg WITH YOUR SHAREWARE. The information
- ; from this file is converted into a data file REGDATA.DAT, which in
- ; turn MUST be included with your shareware.
- ; To create REGDATA.DAT from REGDATA.CFG, run REGMAKE.EXE and make sure
- ; this file is in the current working directory.
- ;
- ; All headings start with the star '*' and dash '-' characters.
- ; Edit their contents as you need, but keep the order the same. The actual
- ; texts in the headings does not matter as the information is expected to
- ; be in the order presented here.
- ;
- ; Note that all the multiline text entries are reformatted, so if you wish
- ; to force a line break, use the backslash '\' character as the last
- ; character in the line.

- ; Now comes the program information:
- ;
- ; 1. Program name: Use underscores (_) instead of any spaces that should be
- ; in the registration form. Any text after the first space is shown
- ; in the program, but is not sent to Kagi. Maximum length is 40 characters.
- ;
- ; 2. Program code: Enter the four letter program code here. The first two
- ; characters are your personal code, and the last two are the program's
- ; code. Notify Kagi of the codes you use and make sure you abide with
- ; the guidelines (no version numbers etc.)
- ;
- ; You can also enter letters 'E' and/or 'M' after the code (use a space
- ; in between). If you enter 'E', the user must enter his e-mail address
- ; to register. If you enter 'M', the user must supply his postal address.
- ; If you enter both, he must supply both of them. If you supply neither,
- ; the user can enter either one.
- ;
- ; 3. Price information. All prices are expressed in cents (US$0.01).
- ; All price entries are separated by spaces
- ; 1. The first entry is the normal price for a single user license
- ; 2. The following entries are for multiple licenses that can be one of:
- ; a) AMOUNT*PRICE_FOR_EACH
- ; b) AMOUNT:TOTAL_PRICE
- ; c) S:TOTAL_PRICE (this is a site license)
- ; d) W:TOTAL_PRICE (this is a world license)
- ; Forms C and D must be last, in this order, if they're present.
- ; Form A: if the user registers up to AMOUNT licenses, but more than
- ; the previous amount, each license costs PRICE_FOR_EACH
- ; Form B: if the user registers AMOUNT licenses, they cost TOTAL_PRICE
- ; in all
- ;
- ; 4. Optional special modifier. The special modifier entry is formatted like
- ; this:
- ; SP <value> <mailing_changes>
- ; The first character of value must be '+', '-' or '%', and is followed
- ; by a number. If the first character is '%', then the price is modified
- ; by that many percentages if this special modifier is chosen. Otherwise
- ; the price is modified by the value (in cents).
- ; As mailing changes you can enter the letters 'E' and/or 'M'. If you enter
- ; 'E', it means that selecting this option requires the user to enter his
- ; e-mail address. Entering 'M' means that the user must supply a postal
- ; address if he selects this option.
- ;
- ; The SP-line must be followed by a description line that cannot
- ; be longer than 30 characters.
- ;
- ; 5. Optional keyword entries. The keyword entry is formatted like this:
- ; KW <min>-<max> <allowed>
- ; The keyword that is entered must have a length between <min> and <max>,
- ; and can only contain the characters specified in <allowed>, which can
- ; contain single characters and character ranges with a dash in between.
- ; If you wish to include the dash as an allowable character, type it as
- ; the last character on the line.
- ; After the KW-line, all lines are interpreted as the prompt that is
- ; displayed when the keyword is asked. Only another KW-line is allowed
- ; after this.
- ;
- ; You can have a maximum of three (3) keyword prompts for each program.
- ; The prompts shouldn't exceed 15 lines and the responses cannot be longer
- ; than 80 characters and must be single-line.
- ;
- ; 6. The program data is finished with the word 'PEND'.
